The front-wheel drive powertrain features a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine with upgraded Hybrid Electric system and automatic CVT transmission with Drive Mode Select.
Enhanced fuel efficiency
An ECO drive mode, lighter materials, engine enhancements and cooling system optimisations come together to deliver an improved fuel efficiency of 4.0L/100km[G37] obtained in laboratory results on all grades (compared with 4.2L-4.5L/100km in outgoing models).
Next-gen Hybrid Electric system
We brought Hybrid Electric technology to the world in the legendary Prius. Today, the 2024 Camry uses our 5th generation Hybrid Electric System, integrating the high torque of a battery-powered electric motor to deliver 170kW.
10-year battery warranty
We’ll increase the standard eight-year warranty on your Camry’s Hybrid Electric battery to up to 10 years, as long as you undertake your annual inspection as part of routine maintenance according to the vehicle logbook[W15].
Smooth moves
Enjoy precise and responsive handling and stability thanks to an updated Camry suspension featuring MacPherson struts in the front. A low centre of gravity reduces body roll and enhances driver and passenger comfort.

Avoid accidents
Pre-Collision Safety System (PCS) is designed to detect potential collisions with vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, and motorcyclists (during daylight). It continuously monitors the area ahead and other lanes when turning at intersections. PCS can help avoid or reduce collisions by activating the brakes or Emergency Steering Assist[S1].
Monitor your blind spot
Blind Spot Monitor uses radar to alert you to vehicles you may not see, while Rear Cross Traffic Alert is designed to alert you to vehicles approaching from either side, when reversing out of a parking space or laneway[S1].
Step out safely
Safe Exit Assist uses the Blind Spot Monitor radar to help prevent a collision between an open door and a vehicle or cyclist approaching from behind. A voice-over notification and/or outer-mirror display delivers the alert, helping you exit safely even on busy streets.
Eyes on the road
Dynamic Radar Cruise Control monitors traffic and helps keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front of you when travelling at a preset speed. If you need to overtake, the system will recognise your indicator signal and suppress acceleration if it detects a vehicle obstructing your lane change.
Stay on track
The Camry uses Lane Trace Assist to sense when you’re drifting out of your lane and will apply force to the steering wheel to help keep you in between the lines. Road Sign Assist recognises certain Australian speed signs and alerts you if the speed limit changes[S1].
Help spotting hazards
The Panoramic View Monitor system displays an overhead view of your vehicle when moving at low speeds. You can use it to check for hazards around your vehicle that are difficult to see from the driver’s seat, helping you manoeuvre and park with confidence.
